JSW Vidyanagar

"A conscious attempt to imbibe a strong sense of community led to the design of compact inward looking housing clusters"

The JSW Vidyanagar township is planned on a contoured site.

The housing apartment was planned for 1, 2 and 3 – BHK. To imbibe a strong sense of community the clusters were designed to look inwards, in a concave shape, whilst still maintaining a privacy distance between the apartments. The central space within the cluster was thoughtfully designed to incorporate a small play space and seating area creating a bright and lively environment.

A personal backyard garden was provided at the ground floor level and terraces at the upper floors .

The vehicular and pedestrian pathways were separated to keep the residential areas safe for children and elders.

The site was surrounded by a 12m wide peripheral ring road that was connected to a 6m wide road leading to the clusters. There were separate services road at the rear side of each building. Entry points to the clusters were marked with brightly coloured entrance gateways to give a distinct identity to each building. A water body was incorporated in the design, which served as a catchment point for the rainwater.
