Swapnalok

"Inspired by the hanging garden of Babylon, Swapnalok as the name suggests, is a collection of dream homes"

The terraced apartments of Swapnalok at Nepean Sea Road in Mumbai celebrate greenery in the midst of an over-congested city. The design of the building is site- sensitive as it fully utilises the slope of the hill on which it stands.

Our architects skillfully integrated the structure with the natural environment while designing the apartments -- each with their own garden. This resulted in 3,000 sq.feet flats, each with an additional garden space of 2,500 sq.ft. The resulting effect was a conglomeration of apartments that seemed to grow into each other, where the roof of one formed the garden of another.

During construction, the slope leading up to the building was not hampered with, nor any part of the hill cut into, to accommodate the building. The topography lent itself to another unique feature – cars could be driven up to each floor until the third level.
