"An extension to the existing Primary School, the institution was designed to provide education opportunities for the children of the JSW Staff"

This school has been built as an extension to an existing primary school which imparts education from the first to fourth standards. The idea is to ensure a consistent education to the people of Vidyanagar. The new school provides learning up to the twelfth standard.

Sixteen classrooms, laboratories, a computer hall, and a library for the senior classes are state-of-the art requirements intended to help the students grow into thinking individuals. The requirements of the school are based on the CBSE curriculum which is recognised nation-wide.

This is a ground and two-floor structure with a total 2,285 sq. m. area. Each classroom is 8 m. x 6 m. and can accomodate 40 students. Laboratory and library sizes are 13.4 m. x 6 m. The school has adequate toilet facilities for boys and girls and drinking water fountains on all floors.

All the classrooms are singly loaded on corridors to reduce noise pollution. Along with the library and laboratories, these have windows on the north side and corridors on the south, ensuring much natural light and a minimum amount of glare. There is a large central courtyard which can be used for morning assembly, as an internal play area and also for cultural programmes.
